about
From birth to death, we desire. We (consciously or unconsciously) are always longing for serenity, rest, and peace. In our inevitable searching, we can often overstep the boundaries of the good things God provides to help lead us closer to Him. We abuse His gifts, and we often turn those gifts into our gods. Instead of choosing to hope in Whom we must have faith to believe, we hope in the attractive man-made thoughts and ideals by which we can have instantly, and by which can only temporarily gratify us. And though we continue to find emptiness in these, we easily forget about the same result which will await us upon hoping in them yet again. We forget to the point of not being able to remember the path to freedom at all, and in turn plead to Him for the true discovery of the Home we know we need.
lyrics
I am sinking in the water and I feel alone
And I am chasing after things I can call my own
But those things, they keep on failing me
They don't give what I need to find my home
To find my home
Sometimes I wonder why I'm breathing
Sometimes I don't
Sometimes I want the things around me to give me hope
But that kind of hope's deceiving
And it leads me down a dark, familiar road
Yeah, that kind of hope's deceiving
And it leads me down a dark, familiar road
I want to know where I am going and I want to grow
I want to know that You are with me, and that You're close
So, will You show me what I'm missing?
Will You show me what I really want the most?
Yeah I know I'm missing something
So, will You show me what I need to find my home?
To find my home
So, will you show me what I'm missing?
Will you show me what I really want the most?
Yeah, I know I'm missing something
So, will you show me what I need to find my home?
To find You
